An innovative solution for biodegradable and compostable plastic materials
The RENOL® are pigment preparations developed thanks to the close cooperation between the laboratories of Clariant and Novamont. These products, based on a particular grade of Mater-Bi™, are compatible with the different types of Mater-Bi™, such as grades A, SG, V and Y for extrusion and injection-molding and grades NF, SG, KE and Z for film extrusion and sheets. With this product line, Clariant answers to the request of the market concerning the biodegradable and compostable plastic materials, by offering to customers the best solution to technical and coloration problems. Extensive biodegradation tests carried-out on Mater-Bi™ items colored by means of RENOL®, show that no negative influence on the biodegradation process of the application polymer is exerted by the RENOL®. The RENOL® products, supplied in pelletized form, are stable on migration and heavy metals free.
